Robot begins with only the ability to move. Find the jump upgrade, then keep exploring as new tools become available: routes that looked impossible become reachable, enemies become manageable, and the way back often reveals something that was missed before.
The goal is simple—reach Kitty—but the route is a tightly connected sequence of exploration, upgrades, and increasingly demanding encounters.

Robot Wants Kitty controls and tips
How do I move, jump, and attack?
With the default keyboard controls, use Left and Right to move, Up, Z, or Y to jump, X to shoot, C to dash, and P to pause. Jumping, shooting, and dashing require their upgrades first. The web remaster also has touch controls for phones and tablets.
Why can't Robot jump at the start?
Robot starts with movement only. Explore the paths you can reach and collect the jump upgrade. Later upgrades open more of the map, so return to passages that were out of reach before.
What should I do when a route seems blocked?
Look for an unexplored route or an ability pickup before repeating a difficult jump. Movement and weapon upgrades solve different obstacles; a blocked passage may become useful after your next discovery.
Which Robot Wants game comes next?
Continue with Robot Wants Puppy, where Kitty becomes part of your toolkit. Then explore Robot Wants Fishy, which introduces bombs and underwater abilities.
The web remaster
A 2010 classic, preserved for the web.
The original Robot Wants Kitty was created by Mike Hommel and released by Hamumu Games in 2010. This independent edition recreates it from surviving game evidence while preserving its compact exploration, progression, and pixel-art identity.
The web remaster also adds touch controls, so Robot Wants Kitty can be played on phones and tablets as well as desktop computers.
